Growing long hair as a guy is not any easier than it is for girls. It’s a commitment you have to make and at the end of it you may not even think it’s something for you. There’s no harm in trying though! You might just pull it off really well and if you’re not impressed, you can always get rid of it faster than it took you to grow it out. We’re going to give you a few tips we think might help you in achieving YOUR #HairGoals. Growing Your Hair Out – Tips For Men 1. Trim your split ends A split end usually grows at the bottom of your hair. So when 1 strand of your hair grows into 2 to 3 different strands, it’s called a split end and it reduces the length of your hair. You can usually tell your split ends apart from your hair, as they tend to be a lighter colour. It’s essential that you go to your regular salon and ask your hair dresser to just trim them off. Trimming your ends will not only make your hair look healthier, but it will also promote hair growth. 2. Don’t over brush your hair Brushing your hair is essential to increasing hair growth, as the natural oils in your hair spread throughout your strands. While you should brush your hair every day, overdoing it causes you to pull your hair. It’s recommended to brush your hair 2 maybe 3 times a day if necessary. Be careful not to wash your hair when it’s wet as it’s more delicate and can break easily. 3. Know when to wash your hair Washing your hair every day can strip your hair off its natural oils, which are essential to hair growth. Try keeping it to the minimum, and aim at washing your hair 2 to 3 times a week.
